SimpleEase is an app and smart watch designed to ease the life of the patients who are suffering with Alzheimer’s and their caretakers. The system will help patients feel like they have a sense of independence and ability to complete tasks. The idea for this app system was influenced by my own grandfather, who has started showing early signs of Alzheimer’s. It is hard to see him get frustrated and upset when he can’t remember what he was getting from the store or not being able to complete a simple task like he use to a thousand times before. This system is displayed on two devices: a smartphone and smartwatch. On the smartphone the caretakers can record different tasks for the patient to complete. Each recording will be able to played back in the caretaker's voice, so it is more comforting for the patient. The patient will wear the smartwatch which will ding when there is a task.
